ARBURG demonstrates how recycled materials can be processed efficiently and reliably with a fully automated production cell. The solution uses an ALLROUNDER 420 C GOLDEN EDITION with ARBURG Servo Hydraulic (ASH) to produce plastic dolphin components from post-consumer recyclate made from old fishing nets. The machine can reduce energy consumption by up to 50% compared with conventional hydraulic machines with the same output.

The production cell combines injection molding, automation, ultrasonic welding and intelligent process control. A MULTILIFT SELECT 8 robotic system removes the molded half-shells, transfers and positions the parts, and places the finished dolphins on a conveyor after welding. ARBURG's recyclate package, including a wear-resistant screw and modified cylinder module, is designed for challenging recycled materials, while GESTICA's RecyclatePilot helps compensate for material fluctuations and maintain stable shot weights.
