Fiber-Coupled AOM for Laser Control
Featured Product from CASTECH, Inc.
Modern photonics systems increasingly require faster modulation speeds, compact integration, and highly stable optical control. In fiber laser and sensing applications, modulation performance directly impacts bandwidth, response speed, and signal quality.
CASTECH Fiber-Coupled Acousto-Optic Modulators (FAOM) are designed based on bulk-wave acousto-optic interaction technology and support both optical pulse amplitude modulation and optical frequency shifting. Compared with free-space devices, the fiber-coupled design enables easier integration, simplified operation, and improved reliability for advanced optical systems.
Designed and manufactured entirely in-house, the FAOM series supports customizable configurations with both polarization-maintaining and non-polarization-maintaining fiber options.
Key Features:
• Modulation frequencies up to 300 MHz
• Rise time as low as 6 ns for high-speed response
• Extinction ratio >45 dB for precise signal control
• Fiber-coupled architecture for easier system integration
• Supports both pulse modulation and optical frequency shifting
• Polarization-maintaining and non-PM fiber options available
• Supports customized wavelength and connector configurations
• Compatible with FC/APC and other connector options
Typical Applications:
• Industrial laser systems
• Fiber sensing systems
• Optical communication and sensing
