What are the applications of right angle prisms?
(1) Laser beam steering
In laser optical systems, used to change the direction of the beam (such as laser engravers, optical path folding).
(2) Imaging system
Used in telescopes, microscopes for inverted image correction or optical path folding.
(3) Interferometer and beam splitting
As a beam splitter of Michelson interferometer (coated with semi-reflective coating).
(4) Optics experimental teaching
Demonstration of total reflection, beam deflection and other basic optical phenomena.
(5) Industrial inspection
Used in machine vision to adjust the optical path, such as laser triangulation.
