Electri-Flex Company offers a food grade nonmetallic flexible liquidtight conduit called NMFG (NM-Food Grade). NMFG is ideally used in special purpose food equipment such as food processing, packaging, cooking, canning and bottling equipment, as well as pharmaceutical manufacturing, meat and poultry packing facilities and restaurants. It provides a liquidtight flexible protective wiring raceway, smooth exterior for easy wash down, resistant to bleach (sodium hypochlorite), and does not promote bacteria growth. Type NMFG offers working temperatures of -30°C to 80°C Dry / 60°C Wet / 70°C Oil.

Type NMFG is similar to Type NM and made with a PVC wall that is imbedded with a spiral of rigid PVC for added reinforcement. NMFG is a helically wound integral Type B construction and intended for use with standard nonmetallic (Type NMLT) or metallic liquidtight connectors. The flexible PVC is made from an FDA approved compound formulated for “Splash Zone” food and beverage contact per FDA CFR21 and NSF 51/61 requirements. Type NMFG is a Certified Component for NSF/ANSI 169 special purpose food equipment or devices. Standard color is white with other colors available upon request. It is available in sizes 3/8” through 2”.
