One example of Knick’s commitment to customization is found with a special product variant of the P27000 universal high voltage signal conditioner. Known for its robust isolation and versatility in industrial environments, the P27000 signal conditioner has long been a trusted solution for high-precision electrical measurements. The customized P27000H1-S033 expands this measurement capability by reaching down to the micro-amp (μA) level while also extending up to 1 A. This enhanced functionality opens new possibilities for applications requiring precise current monitoring, all while maintaining the reliability and isolation that define the P27000 series.

Micro-Current to Amp Measurements

The enhanced P27000H1-S033 extends its measurement capabilities to ultra-low currents, with ranges of 0...10 μA and 0...100 μA, as well as higher currents up to 0...1 A. Compared to the standard P27000, which measured currents to 100 mA, the low-end sensitivity has improved by 4 orders of magnitude, while also extending the high-end range to 1 A.  All measurements for the special device are then seamlessly represented through a standard 0...10 V output.

This new micro-current capability makes the P27000H1-S033 an ideal choice for sensitive applications such as evaluating semiconductor leakage test currents, where precise detection of extremely small currents is critical for identifying defects and ensuring product reliability.
