Programmable Inclinometers: One Sensor, More Possibilities

From mobile machinery, aerial work platforms and agricultural equipment to concrete pumps, cranes and solar tracking systems, inclinometers are used across a wide range of applications to provide reliable tilt and position feedback.

Different applications, however, often require different measuring ranges, output signals and settings. Traditionally, that can mean stocking multiple inclinometer variants. POSITAL’s programmable TILTIX inclinometers with analog voltage and current outputs offer a more flexible approach: one sensor platform can be configured to match the application.

Quick Delivery, More Flexibility

The benefits extend across the supply chain:

Distributors can consolidate inventory and order larger quantities more cost-efficiently, while serving customers with different configuration requirements from the same sensor platform.

OEMs can standardize on one sensor platform across different machines and applications, reducing the number of variants and spare parts they need to manage.

POSITAL also keeps your configuration information on file, making repeat orders and replacements simple and consistent.

Flexible Down to the Details

Depending on the application, configurable parameters include:

  • Measurement mode: Single Axis, Dual Axis or Pitch & Roll
  • Filtering: No Filter, Moving Average, Butterworth, Critically Damped or Kalman Filter
  • Angle settings: Minimum and maximum angle, plus differential offset
  • Preset function: Set the preset to the minimum, middle, maximum or a customized analog value – or disable the preset pin entirely.

This means the sensor can be adapted to different requirements through configuration rather than physical modifications.

Configure Anywhere with UBIFAST

For customers and distributors who want to handle configurations themselves, UBIFAST makes programming simple and portable. The configuration tool creates its own Wi-Fi hotspot and includes a built-in web server. Any Wi-Fi-enabled smartphone, tablet or laptop can connect directly and access the configuration interface through a standard web browser.

No dedicated app. No software installation. No Internet connection.
