Depending on what style of cotter pin is paired with the clevis pin, clevis pins can be highly secure or easy-to-remove as needed. Clevis pins are sometimes made with a quick-release ball instead of a hole, or with Pivot Point’s patented SLIC Plunger instead of a hole. Some clevis pin heads utilize anti-rotation features like a clipped head, under-head knurling, or under-head shoulders. Heads are highly customizable. While most clevis pin holes are near the end of the shank, Pivot Point can easily customize the hole placement anywhere along the length of the clevis pin shank. End chamfers can be added which will help guide the clevis pin during installation. Pivot Point’s through-holes are always chamfered for ease of cotter pin installation, and to avoid any burrs that may damage your application or inhibit installation. Pivot Point can manufacture clevis pins with zinc electroplated, mechanical zinc, phosphate, black oxide, dip-spin finishes, and more – you name it!
