Spring Energized Metal C-Ring is based on a metallic "C" substrate, designed to be applied in extreme working conditions. By default, Spring Energized Metal C-Ring for internal pressure or external pressure are system pressure energized, they require a high bolting load and have good spring back. Due to its special structure and material, Spring Energized Metal C-rings can be used in working conditions such as high temperature (up to 800°C), cryogenic (low to -270°C), high pressure (up to 1500kgf/cm2), high vacuum (up to 1E-9 mmHg) and other extreme working conditions of static sealing.

Specifically, Spring Energized Metal C-Ring is an enhanced Metal C-Ring. With a spring inside the substrate, Spring Energized Metal O-Ring can bear much greater loads for rough surfaces and can also achieve much lower leakage rates.
