GlobalSpec's Chris Chariton to Present at International Society of Automation Marketing and Sales Summit

Marketing VP to Speak on Aligning Marketing with Customers' Buying Process

East Greenbush, NY – (Business Wire) – 8/26/2010 – The stages of the B2B buy cycle are well known and haven't changed much over the years. But what has changed is how purchasing influencers use them. Chris Chariton, GlobalSpec's Vice President, Supplier Marketing and Marketing Services, will discuss the sources industrial B2B buyers rely on and what's driving the change in them at the 2010 International Society of Automation (ISA) Marketing and Sales Summit.

Chariton's presentation, "Aligning Your Marketing with Your Customers' Buying Process: The B2B Buy Cycle in an Online World," will take place at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at the W Hotel in Atlanta.

Chariton will elaborate on the four major stages of the B2B buy cycle: Needs Awareness, Research, Consideration and Comparison and Procurement. She'll discuss the sources B2B buyers rely on today for each step of the buy cycle and provide tips for companies to address buyers in each step of the process. Chariton will share research on industrial buyers' purchasing influences, including what's changed, and the role that social, traditional and online media play in the various buying stages. She'll also cover how suppliers and manufacturers can align their marketing strategy with the buy cycle.
