  • Nylon Coat - Nylon Coat Manufacturers, Suppliers
Dipped Nylon Tire Cord Fabric Coated For Bicycle Tyres 840D / 2 .
  • Resorcinol
Synthetic- fiber (primarily polyester and some nylon ) tire cords , including polyester fabrics in the tire sidewall, are nearly always dipped into RFL adhesive to improve adhesion of the cords to the rubber in the tread.

  • Fiber-Elastomer Adhesion Variables
greige fabric from nylon or polyester yarn was stretched tightly on an em- broidery hoop, and a measured amount of aqueous dispersion of the adhesive being studied was applied. The fabric, still wet with water, was placed immediately in an oven at 200 C and heated for varying times to simulate hot-stretching of dip - coated tire cords .
  • Nylon 66/polyester hybrid cords: 1. Design and investigation of properties
Ny/ PET hybrid cords have lower shrinkage than nylon reference cords . During the tyre cord dipping process, an adhesive is applied and fabric is treated under the controlled conditions oftime, temperatureandtension(parameterscalledtraditionally as 3T).
  • Effect of twist level on tyre cord performance
The fabric is passed through a dip solution tank, and then is dried in an oven. The treatment parameters are very critical for getting optimum rubber compound- cord adhesion. The effect of twist on adhesion was also studied for both nylon and polyester tyre cords.
  • Effects of atmospheric pollutants at high temperature on the adhesion of RFL‐coated tire cords to rubber
Nylon 6,6 (du Pont T-728) and polyester (du Pont T-503Dacron)were twisted to tire cord constructions (T-728:840/1/2,13 X 13tpi; T-503: 1000/1/3,9.2 X 9.2 tpi). An open fabric was woven from the fiber (nylon, 20 epi; polyester, 25 epi). The two- dip adhesive systemi4 developed by Shoaf15 was applied to the polyester.
  • Effects of linear density and twist level on the mechanical properties of nylon 6.6 tyre cords
It can be also seen from Figure 3 that the shrinkage values of nylon cords are increased with the increasing twist level and linear density. Adhesion strength between cord and rubber matrix is a critical parameter which can affect performance of tyres . During tyre cord dipping process, an adhesive was applied and the fabric is treated under controlled condition of time, temperature and tension.
