Figure 3: The margin between victory and defeat is often very, very small whether one is dealing with the world of sports, business, politics, or a host of other undertakings.

Figure 4: Products that are well known are generally produced by firms possessing ample funds with which to advertise them. Unknown products, on the other hand, are likely to stay that way because their producers have insufficient funds to tell anyone about their products.

Figure 5: In virtually any undertaking it is found that a very small fraction of the participants produces a very large fraction of the accomplishments. It must, in fairness, be pointed out that a very small fraction of the participants also produces a very large fraction of the problems.
