But things that can go wrong sometimes do; this is also the case with a complex product like MOM. And when MOM runs badly, there is often a lot of digging required to find the solution. To help you with the digging, there are a lot of tools that will give you the information you re searching for. The goal of this chapter is to give you a good grasp of turning the bad MOM into the nice MOM.

Using the MOM Resource Kit

To be able to troubleshoot the MOM environment there are a lot of places to start looking. But there is one tool you can t afford to miss: the MOM resource kit tools. These tools are all used to troubleshoot the MOM infrastructure. Some of the tools in this Resource Kit make it possible to extend the current functionality in MOM even further. This makes it not only a great tool to troubleshoot, but also a necessary component of a complete working environment.
