TABLE OF CONTENTS The overall premise of Quality Tourism Experiences has been that there is no one definition of quality tourism experiences, given the nature of tourism and its complexity and multiplicity of participants and resultant interactions and connectivity, the varying expectations, attitudes, and profiles of participants.
The notion of quality will vary. In the preceding sections of Quality Tourism Experiences, authors have explored the Social Construction of Quality Tourism Experiences, Mediating Meaning, the Interpretation of Meaning and Place, Quality of Life and Interpretation of Quality Tourism Experiences, the Political-Economic Construction of Quality Tourism Experiences, and now we move Towards a Conclusion. As the title of this Section suggests, this is but one conclusion; readers no doubt will draw their own conclusions based on their own experiences, constructions, interpretations, and mediations.
In Chapter Thirteen, Norma Polovitz Nickerson provides some reflections on quality tourism experiences using her interpretation of a number of the
constructions presented within the previous chapters of Quality Tourism Experiences. In keeping with the premise of this book, the reflective reconstructions are not intended to be nomothetic or representative, since the book argues that
interpretations of quality tourism experiences are complex and manifold. The chapter concludes by posing a number of questions to stimulate additional research in regard to developing our understandings of Quality Tourism Experiences.
