Effect of Corrosion
Corrosion affects all metals at large, and that effect is quite visible in most cases. For example, in case of corrosion on a Tin surface, whiskers grow on the surface. In the case of Magnesium, the surface film peels off and white spots occur on the surface. Steel-based corrosion is visible as red crust. When Aluminum corrodes, pits form on the surface of the metal.
To summarize, corrosion is harmful and is the cause of much industrial loss.
