Services Offered | |||
Your choices are... | |||
Electrical / Electronic Testing | Suppliers offer electrical and electronic testing services including dielectric, conductivity, electrostatic discharge, insulation resistance, resistivity, or high voltage surge.
Electromagnetic / EMC | Suppliers offer electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing. EMC measures the ability of electrical systems or products to operate without causing electromagnetic interference (EMI) that affects with other equipment. It also measures the ability not to be affected by EMI from other equipment, or from the environment.
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) | The supplier offers ESD or electrostatic discharge testing services. ESD testing is used to evaluate the performance of anti-static devices or materials or the resistance of components or products resistance when exposed to a static discharge.
Energy Efficiency / EVS | Companies offer energy efficiency verification or testing to evaluate the energy consumption performance of motors, appliances, HVAC equipment, powder supplies, generators, engines and other related products.
Functional / ATE | Suppliers offer functional or automated test equipment (ATE) testing. A functional test simulates an operating environment and tests a board against its functional specification.
Load / Capacity Testing | Company provides load or capacity testing of batteries, battery banks or systems, power supplies, UPS systems, engines, motors, or other power systems.
Performance Testing | The supplier offers performance testing. Testing conducted to evaluate the compliance of a system or component with specified performance requirements.
RF Emissions | The supplier offers EM or RF emission testing services. An emissions test is used to evaluate the level of radio frequency or electromagnetic radiation produced by components or products. Emissions tests are a key component in compliance, compatibility, or EMC evaluations.
RFI / EMI Immunity | The supplier offers EMI or RFI immunity testing services. Immunity testing is used to evaluate the performance of RFI or EMI shielding materials or the resistance of components or products resistance when electromagnetic interference, RFI or EMI. Immunity testing is a key component in compliance, compatibility, or EMC evaluations.
Seismic / NEBS Testing | Suppliers offer seismic or NEBS tests in which the anchor is subjected to load cycles of varying magnitude and frequency for the purpose of simulating a seismic event.
Thermal Cycling / Shock | The supplier offers thermal cycling or thermal shock testing services. Repeated hot and cold cycles (thermal cycling) or rapid temperature changes (thermal shock) can result in high level of cyclic stress due to thermal expansion.
Thermal Imaging / Thermography | Companies use thermal imaging, thermography, or infrared cameras to inspect and identify hot spots, heat leakage or overheating components in buildings and equipment. Thermography can identify overheating in circuit breakers or load centers, and damaged or worn bearings. Thermal imaging is used to locate faulty or missing insulation or refractories around furnaces, ovens, building walls or heating ducts, steam lines, and other thermal processing equipment.
Specialty / Other | Other specialty, proprietary or unlisted testing service.

Accelerated (HALT / HASS)? | Accelerated testing and screening includes highly accelerated life testing (HALT) and highly accelerated stress screening (HASS). The results from HALT tests are used to set test limits for production screening or HASS tests. The operating and/or destruct limits derived from HALT testing allow the use of higher climatic and mechanical stimuli resulting in shorter test times in HASS compared to conventional stress testing. HALT is a process developed to uncover design defects and weaknesses in electronic and mechanical assemblies using vibration testing, combined with rapid high and low temperature changes. HALT addresses reliability issues at an early stage in product development, offering significant advantages over traditional techniques.
