KOA Speer high voltage resistors for automotive and industrial applications have a maximum working voltage of up to 3,000V dc (HV73) and 800V (HV73V) and maximum overload voltage of up to 4,000V (HV73) and 1,200V (HV73V). Silver-based inner electrodes in flat chip resistors can lose conductivity when the silver reacts with sulfur in a high-sulfur environment. The electrodes can lose all conductivity and disconnect the circuit as sulfuration continues.
