About

Allied Machine & Engineering Corp. (AMEC) provides hole-making solutions for the metal cutting industry worldwide. AMEC is dedicated to providing the lowest cost-per-hole, from drilling, to reaming, to threading, by offering the widest selection of value-added tooling. AMEC’s hole-making solutions are available in Standard and Special tool designs, and are considered the primary choice of end-users who take metal cutting seriously. A complete offering of precision tool design, product availability and expert application support enables Allied Machine & Engineering Corp. to maintain its role as the leader in the cutting tool category.

NEW this year from AMEC: the adjustable Revolution Drill™, a remarkable tool that saves time, money and concern over quality finish. With a hole diameter range of 1.875" to 4.0", Revolution Drill™ comes with removable cartridges for fast replacement. No pilot hole required thanks to its over-center cutting geometry. Also new is AMEC’s Opening Drill™, an extremely effective tool designed to enlarge existing holes. Opening Drill™ allows for large amounts of material removal with only one pass, even on low horsepower machines, while ignoring core shifts up to 1/8" providing straight and true holes.

AMEC also offers GEN3SYS® High Penetration Drilling System. GEN3SYS® is available in 12-32mm (.4724" - 1.2598") diameter range, and is the end-user’s choice for ‘difficult to drill’ materials. For fast and efficient real time on-line pricing, prints and delivery information on YOUR custom tool designs, ask about INSTA-QUOTE™ available 24/7. GEN2 T-A® and Original T-A® replaceable-tip drilling inserts, assembled into high strength steel T-A® holders, offer a product range of: 3/8" to 4-1/2" (9.5mm - 114mm). Special insert and holder designs also available.

For your porting applications, consider the AccuPort 432® Port Contour Cutters, and for threading, AMEC offers the AccuThread 856® line of threadmills, which includes solid carbide and indexable designs.

Primary substrates in AMEC drill inserts include three types of high-speed steel: CPM-M4, CPM-T15, Premium Cobalt. AMEC offers four types of carbide: C1 & C2 for both GEN2 T-A, and GEN3SYS drilling systems, C2, C3 and C5 for all other inserts, all available with five types of coatings - TiN, TiCN, TiAIN, CVD diamond, and the exclusive AM200®. For smaller diameters, ASC 320® Solid Carbide High Penetration drills (3mm-20mm) are also available. For precise hole finishing, request ALVAN Expandable Reamers: available in Ring Style & Monobloc, diameter sizes from 0.228 inch to 7.898 inch (5.8 mm to 200.6 mm).

Allied Machine & Engineering Corp. is an ISO 9001-2000 company and will never compromise the quality of its products and services.
