Welcome to American Grinding & Machine Company, one of the largest flat grinding shops in the country. We have twenty-two large surface grinding machines at your service. We manufacture a heavy-duty steel base or table called the "BRUTE" Base, which is available in six standard shapes, or it can be completely customized to your needs.

Welding represents another one of our divisions. We fabricate all types of weldments from small pieces up to 30 tons. We also have a division called Interstate Abrasives, which is a distributorship for abrasive products. Interstate Abrasives stocks and represents over seventy different manufacturers of grinding wheels, diamond wheels, tools, and related products.

Within two buildings, American Grinding offers Grinding, Welding, a Steel Warehouse stocked with plates to meet your demands, Flame Cutting, Saw Cutting, Stress Relieving, Shot Blasting, Painting, and Grinding Wheels.

American Grinding prides itself on our craftsmanship. Our operators are trained in house. Once an operator comes to American Grinding, they are trained to our exact standards. We have an ongoing in-house training program to make sure our operators are the best in the industry. We do not have a high turnover rate with our people. Many of our employees have been with us for over twenty years. Because of this continuity, you can be assured of a quality product time after time.

American Grinding also prides itself on quality. We have quality checks at every step in our manufacturing process. Each operator checks their work as well as their predecessors. Your job is continually watched through the manufacturing cycle. Each operator has the ability to stop the job on the spot if they need to make a correction. Once your job is completed, a quality control specialist double checks your job before it is shipped.

We also have our own maintenance department here at American Grinding. Our maintenance people can repair any of our equipment. We carry extra spare parts for our grinding machines and keep them in stock. This means that should a piece of equipment go down, we can get it back up and running in a short period of time. This benefits our customers because their job won't have to wait for a machine to be repaired, or for a spare part to be shipped from the equipment manufacturer.
