Our Promise

DAK was started in January of 1995 by David Kenealy with the commitment that every step we take must move our customers closer to their business goals.  After close to twenty years of serving clients like Ethan-Allen, Rockwell International, and the U.S. Air Force, we’re able to proudly say that our dedication to our customers’ success has allowed us to realize our own.

Our History

DAK Equipment & Engineering started in a small office in downtown Chicago. After only a year and a half, our growing company needed to expand to include a warehouse, so we moved down the street to a larger building.  Despite having had a somewhat unsavory reputation in the 1920s, the warehouse suited our company perfectly and we stayed in that location another six years.

Our next move brought us 20 minutes outside of Chicago to Elmhurst, Illinois where we currently have a large distribution center that is stocked with best-in-class material handling equipment.  As a stocking distributor, we’re able to ship quickly for those gotta-have-it-now projects.

DAK has been a member in good standing of the Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA) since 2002.
