Grind Lap Services, Inc. has been in business for over 25 years.  They offer Blanchard grinding, single and double sided lapping, double-disc grinding, O.D. grinding, I.D. grinding and honing.

Grind Lap Services, Inc. has eight Blanchard grinders and a double disc grinder for high production. Their largest Blanchard has a 42" table. They have experience in all varieties of parts from large plates to small spacers. Typically they hold tolerances as close as .001". Grind Lap Services, Inc. can grind all types of materials including steel, cast iron, stainless, aluminum, etc.

Grind Lap Services, Inc. has nine Sunnen hones including the new ML-3500 and EC-3500 with tooling which can handle up to 5" diameter or up to 20" long depending on the part’s requirements. Five of their machines are power-strokers for production. Two of these machines have auto-sizing capabilities. They typically hold tolerances as close as .0002".

Grind Lap Services, Inc. has five CNC O.D. Grinders that can handle parts up to 40" long and 12" diameter.  They typically hold tolerances as close as .0002" on the diameter and .0005" on lengths. They run large production quantities as well as small lot/prototype parts.  Parts can be run between centers as well as fixtured or held in a collet.  Parts with multiple diameters, tapers, and shoulders can be ground accurately and economically.

Grind Lap Services’ lapping machines are double-sided and single-sided Speedfam models ranging in table size from 20" to 64". They mainly use Silicon Carbide abrasive on most of their machines. However, they do use aluminum oxide abrasive for some applications and diamond in their polishing machines. Grind Lap Services can hold tolerances of .0002 in production with flatness requirements of 1 helium light band (.000012") on many parts. The variety of parts that they lap ranges from large hydraulic castings to small ceramic or carbon seals.
