In order to make over 25 years of successful business in the utility, oil, and other drilling industries, they combined the best of both worlds including a machine shop and a pipe yard facility. Their main yard is located predominately in the oilfield near the Gulf of Mexico. Their second yard is located seconds off of I-10 in between Lafayette and Baton Rouge. Both facilities are capable of machine shop services, cleaning, and inspection of tubular goods.
Holly Pipe Corp. and N.S.T. Corp. combine rentals, sales, and services of drill pipe and equipment. New and used drill pipe sales and solutions for ?making hole,? mark their primary target. N.S.T. Corp.(Nugent Special Thread), Holly Pipe?s sister company, handles the manufacturing and reconditioning of tools and various threads. The two companies complement one another in the most efficient ways. While Holly Pipe prepares material for inspection, N.S.T. completes the process with quality controlled reassurance. Quick turn-around time and quality go hand in hand so you can be reassured your order will be processed accurately and on time. At either of Holly Pipe's facilities they can be found off loading customer pipe and cleaning it with either a Hub City cleaning machine or water blasting. They often clean pipe thoroughly using air or water powered machines in order to achieve the best nondestructive inspections. Customer requirements are met especially when culling out the premium pipe from the rest. Whether the pipe is muddy and clogged or just dry and scaly, dealing with dirty used pipe is all in a day?s work. If the pipe is worth repairing, they typically sort out and do the refurbishing/rethreading according to the customers? request. Whether the job is at their location or in the field, they strive to complete the task with utmost concern for the environment and safety. SALES TEAM Holly Pipe Corporation's sales department works as a team to provide an outstanding array of tubular goods for any of the major markets (i.e. oilfield, HDD, geothermal, and water well). Jerry Nugent Sr. started Holly Pipe Corp. in 1983 at a 2 acre yard off of Verot School Rd. in Lafayette, LA. A small start with a mobile home for an office on a bed of gravel were the rudiments of the establishment. At first, there were a few trusted assistants and family members who toiled daily in the yard. Jerry?s sales team consisted of one other person and the office manager. Jerry brings over 40 years of experience in the drilling business to the table. Every employee listed in the company wears several hats and has proven themselves through the challenges of making the utmost progress. A seasoned office manager is always needed in the oilfield and Cindy Guidry filled the bill with a well rounded outlook for the oilfield. Cindy arrived at Holly Pipe in 1995 after working over 10 years for oilfield companies as an office manager. Barry Hollier, V.P. of manufacturing for NST, started in 1995 with 15 years of machine shop experience. Through his involvement with Holly Pipe and NST, he?s added an additional 15 years to his manufacturing experience with sales of tubular goods. Jerry Nugent Jr., general manager of operations, came to work for Holly Pipe in 1993 while in high school and has learned the business from the ground up. In recent years Jerry completed many forms of trade school such as machine shop manual/CNC, welding, and NDT. Presently, Jerry?s using his background to further the sales team efforts of Holly Pipe/N.S.T. Corp. Burt Kidder, sales coordinator of NST, came to work in 1998 after working over 25 years in the oilfield through purchasing, land survey, equipment management, and logistics. Burt?s present duties include shipping, material purchases, and various operations in the realm of office management. Jules Quebedeaux, NST shop superintendent, has worked with Barry for most of his career and brings over 30 years of machine shop experience to their team. Jules? extensive knowledge of oilfield threading and manufacturing has kept him busy managing the production on CNC lathes and mills. These key people allow Holly Pipe and NST to flourish when it comes time to produce the kind high quality materials that are expected. MISSION STATEMENT Holly Pipe and N.S.T.
