IPC is the industry association for companies in the printed board and electronics assembly industries. IPC member companies design boards, build them, assemble them, buy or specify them, or supply to these companies. There are 3300 member companies worldwide.

IPC standards are used worldwide. There are approximately 150 active standards, including the world’s most widely used electronics manufacturing standard, IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies. The standards are created by volunteer committees and go through an approval process based on requirements from the American National Standards Institute.

IPC assists member companies and the industry through a variety of technical and business resources. Companies throughout the industry have trained their employees using IPC industry-based certification programs or IPC multimedia training. IPC provides market data and forecasts to its members through subscriptions and reports. As a member-driven organization, IPC opens doors for its members to gain informative market data and technical knowledge to stay on top of an ever-changing competitive environment.
