About
Industrial Molding Corporation has been serving customers for more than 60 years. Founded by Melvin Earsley in 1947 as Precision Products, Inc., the company served as a regional job-shop for agricultural and industrial customers in need of precision metal machining and forming services. Precision Products became Industrial Molding Corporation in 1957 when the enterprise was expanded to include custom plastic injection molding services. As it launched the plastic injection molding portion of the business, the company leveraged its technical expertise to target technically challenging precision plastic molding projects. IMC, for example, was one of the first companies to assist OEM bearing manufacturers in the conversion of metal retainers to quieter, lighter, and less expensive plastic bearing retainers. Our knowledge of complex tooling concepts and highly engineered resins allowed IMC to develop a reputation as a technically driven organization that delivered result on-time and on-budget. The founder’s sons, Jim and Steve Earsley, assumed leadership of the company from 1986 to mid-1999. During this period Industrial Molding Corp. remained a privately held corporation and experienced significant growth and expansion into a broader range of precision plastic injection molding applications serving the bearing, medical, automotive, consumer, industrial, electronics, and fiber optic markets. In July 1999, IMC was purchased by NN, Inc., one of the world’s largest manufacturers of precision bearing components. Joining the NN organization provided IMC with access to a global footprint and the resources to invest in its customers’ businesses and expand its technical capabilities. Today, IMC serves a variety of global markets that require a broad range of technical and manufacturing expertise. We provide turnkey solutions to problems that other suppliers thought were insurmountable… from design, prototyping, ramp up, production and delivery.
