About
In 2021, Machine Compare, home to one of the world's largest databases for new and used machinery, launched its sister site Marketplace. With that, an e-commerce platform for new, green and refurbished electrical and mechanical spare parts was born.
The company was founded by brothers Eric and Ben Findlay in 2014 with the vision of changing how the world trades industrial machinery and spare parts.
Noticing the sheer volume of excess spare parts stock held by manufacturers worldwide, the brothers came up with a unique idea. The duo created an ecommerce platform to help recirculate these surplus spare parts, also known as green parts.
The company is now on a mission to put these green parts back into the market, with the potential of saving billions worth of quality resources and products across industrial sectors.
Major multinational manufacturers are already listing their stock on Marketplace, including Stora Enso, Smurfit Kappa, Nestlé, JBS, SUN Automation and BHS.
