About

Michigan Scientific Corporation has developed a broad base of technology to aid our customers. We will help find solutions to our customers' problems through engineering consultation. If necessary, we will configure commercially available equipment or design and manufacture the needed equipment. This approach has required us to invest in a wide range of capabilities. Several of our engineering capabilities are listed below.
The design and manufacturing of:
- Instrumentation slip ring assemblies: Michigan Scientific has been designing and manufacturing slip ring assemblies since 1960. We produce thousands of standard assemblies per year. The standard units range from 4 to 36 connections. Our slip rings are instrumentation quality assemblies designed to be used with strain gage, thermocouple and other sensor signals. In addition to our standard assemblies we design and manufacture hundreds of custom slip rings per year.
- Transducers: Michigan Scientific Corporation manufactures and stocks various one directional force transducers, three directional force transducers and torque transducers. Our transducers are environmentally protected, temperature compensated, configured to minimize magnetic sensitivity, and ruggedly constructed.
- Signal conditioning electronics
- Wireless telemetry systems
- Fiber-optic systems: Michigan Scientific Corporation (MSC) is a leading manufacturer of Fiber-Optic based signal monitors for automotive component and full-scale vehicle EMI/RFI engineering and testing. MSC Fiber-Optic Systems have earned a reputation for superior stability that is necessary for monitoring equipment when it is used in Reverberation-anechoic chambers and Bulk current injection (BCI) tests. This is especially true when seeking electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) laboratory certification for The American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) or the Automotive EMC Laboratory Recognition Program (AEMCLRP). MSC Fiber-Optic Systems provide a reliable and accurate means of transmitting electrical signals over fiber-optic cables from sources in high field environments or anechoic chambers to monitoring equipment in a low-field area. MSC currently offers F-O systems that monitor, stimulate or control a device under test. F-O systems are available for monitoring analog or digital signals within the bandwidth, audio, linear position, light (visible through IR), and bi-directional video with 2-channel audio and two channels for control.
