Unprecedented scale, unparalleled precision
Microfabrica performs contract manufacturing using its breakthrough MICA FreeformTM process enabling the development of Ultra-High Precision™ Parts, SubAssemblies and 3D MicroMachines which help create an unlimited number of new applications in a variety of industries including medical device, semiconductor test and aerospace.

Explore the new boundaries of micro-fabrication
MICA Freeform™ is an Ultra-High Precision™ process that brings together aspects of stereolithography and electrochemical deposition to produce robust micro metal parts. MICA Freeform™ employs batch/wafer-based manufacturing principles, enabling high-volume manufacturing.

Comparing micro-manufacturing technologies
The MICA Freeform™ process excels where traditional technologies struggle. Here is an example of a 0.010” thick aperture plate that was fabricated using the MICA Freeform™ process and three other technologies (not to scale):

Similarly to stereolithography, the MICA Freeform™ process builds parts layer by layer, allowing complex and embedded features to be realized. The complex washer below has 0.0015” embedded micro-channels to precisely dispense micro-droplets.
