About
Since 1919, Triangle Pump Components, Inc. (TPCI) has built a reputation for manufacturing efficient, long-lasting, and dependable pump products. While our company got its start making industrial products for railroads and powerhouses, we were soon asked to design and manufacture a more durable, efficient valve disc to withstand the pressure of steam pumps.
Our Durabla pump valve, patented in 1921, quickly experienced major growth as it was heavily used during the "steam pump" era of the U.S. industrial expansion of the 1930s, 40s, and 50s. Because of the Navy's heavy pump valve usage during World War II, Triangle Pump Components assisted in overall U.S. effort.
Durabla Valves
Triangle Pump Components Incorporated offers four different variations of the Durabla pump valve.
Our models include:
Model V7
Model V7H
Model V7F
Model V7FD
Plate and Abrasion Resistant (AR) Valves
Triangle Pump Components manufactures both plate and abrasion resistant valves.
Our models include:
Plate Valve
Abrasion Resistant (AR) Valve
Plungers and Extension Rods
Like our valves, all of our plungers and extension rods are designed for optimum efficiency and long-lasting service life.
Ceramic Plungers
Metal Plungers
Extension Rods
Plunger Packing and Stuffing Box Components
Packing plays a major role in the assurance of adequate down-stream pressure. The packing provides a seal around the extension rod, plunger or piston. For a piston the packing is contained in a groove in the piston and moves with the piston. For an extension rod or plunger the packing is stationary and is contained by the stuffing box.
Valve Puller
All Triangle Pump Components valve units are designed for easy installation with minimum disassembly. When inspection shows that wear has occurred, however, proper maintenance such as replacing the valve disc, spring, and sleeve, or torqueing studs, bolts, and locknuts may be required. We also recommend re-facing or reinstalling the seat to eliminate any ridges at the inner or outer edges.
