ifm efector is a subsidiary of the global company, ifm electronic gmbh, Germany. Since 1969, ifm has developed, manufactured and marketed sensors and controls technology to industries that include assembly and robotics, automotive, material handling, metal forming, mobile equipment, plastics, and food and beverage.

In 1985, a USA sales and marketing company, ifm efector, was established in Chester County, PA. Since then, we've experienced tremendous growth with more than 200 employees from the surrounding area, the expansion of ten branches offices throughout the US, the opening of a manufacturing and technology center, ifm prover, in Malvern, PA (2012), and the building of a new 55,000 square-foot stocking and distribution facility in Downingtown, PA (May 2022).

Today, roughly 330 dedicated individuals drive innovation and productivity and successfully service 23,000 customers resulting in $260 Million in annual sales (2022).
