From die cut thermal pads for LED lighting to EMI shielding for EV batteries, laser die cutting provides almost limitless opportunities to create precision cutouts for a variety of applications.Unlike traditional die cutting methods, a laser system can quickly and efficiently produce intricate patterns and fine details such as tiny holes, slots or perforations. This advanced machine technology can accommodate die cutting for web widths up to 13 in. (330 mm) with tolerances as small as +/- 0.002 in. (50 µm). This level of accuracy and precision delivers parts, free of flaws, defects or measuring errors, and makes efficient use of materials for cost savings. Since there is no hard tooling required, rapid prototypes and small production runs can be done quickly and efficiently. CFS uses a Delta Mod Tech with Edge laser technology for numerous die cut services. Finished product can be supplied as individual pieces or on rolls.
At CFS, we specialize in precision industrial masking and converting solutions, providing high-quality die-cut components, tapes, and custom solutions for a variety of industries. Our advanced capabilities, innovative technology, and expert team ensure we meet the most demanding requirements with efficiency and accuracy. What We Offer: ✅ Custom Die-Cutting ✅ Precision Slitting & Laminating ✅ Industrial Masking Solutions ✅ High-Performance Adhesives ✅ Engineering & Prototyping Support
Custom Fabricating & Supplies is an ISO 9001:2015 supplier of performance component die cuts, gaskets, custom rubber molded parts and extrusions, and industrial masking supplies. We have over 30 years of experience in the industry and are experts in surface protection applications such as tapes and plugs as well as seals, mounting & holding, gaskets, spacers, shielding and insulators. Our capabilities include precision rotary die cutting, dieless knife cutting, kiss cutting, custom molding and extrusions, slitting and laminating. Our state-of-the-art Delta Rotary Die cutting machine allows for island placement with tight tolerances. Our Flash cutting tables and 3D printer provide rapid prototyping for multi-level profile parts without up-front tooling costs. We are also an online distributor of a diverse inventory of masking products, such as pressure sensitive tapes, 3M products and tape die-cuts.
Converting involves various techniques such as cutting, slitting, rewinding, laminating, coating, or printing to modify the characteristics or properties of the raw materials. Custom converting is often used in industries such as packaging, automotive, electronics, and healthcare, where specific requirements need to be met for the end products.
The ISO Class 7 clean room facility at CFS utilizes advanced machine technology to tackle high volume, tight tolerance jobs often found in the aerospace, consumer products, electronics and medical industries. This dedicated facility has precision rotary die cutting equipment with variable data and barcode printing for product identification, security, and tracking to custom die cut materials.
Die-less knife cutting (also called flash cutting or digital knife cutting) utilizes our three Atom Flashcut Flex CNC machines to precision cut a wide range of materials from 0.001" to 5" thick. Ideal for projects where aesthetics are important, this process does not cause concavity and produces clean edges.
Barcoding and consecutive numbering systems are used to track inventory, reduce costs and ensure security. CFS can print data matrices, QR codes, and many different forms of barcodes onto your die cuts, ensuring alignment with your tracking process. Rotary die cutting ensures exceptional uniformity and high-speed production, processing hundreds of feet per minute for optimal efficiency.
Flatbed die cutting is known for its ability to produce parts with tight tolerances, ensuring each piece is identical, which is crucial in industries like electronics and medical device. This process can handle a wide range of materials and thicknesses, from soft foams to harder materials. This makes it ideal for markets that require custom parts made from different substrates. Dies can be customized to create complex shapes and designs that are tailored to specific industrial needs. Flatbed die cutting can be scaled up for large production runs or adapted for short, custom jobs, offering flexibility to manufacturers. The process is designed to maximize material usage, producing clean cuts with minimal material waste, which is both cost effective and environmentally friendly.
Founded in 2001, CFS has long been known as a premier supplier of industrial masking supplies. We work with finishers, custom powder and e-coaters, OEMs and related suppliers to solve the most complex masking issues. We specialize in custom die cuts, kitting, sheeting, perforating, multi-layer laminations, zone adhesive, island placement and kiss cutting and offer a full catalog of stock masking supplies. We can design custom silicone, EPDM and vinyl caps and plugs to mask holes, threads and voids to ensure efficient and clean finishes after powder coating, e-coating, anodizing, and plating. Our patented Hook Locks prevent part loss during immersion coatings.
Rapid prototyping solutions from CFS give you the flexibility to create, test and refine your product, and reach the market faster than your competitors. If your original design was not exactly what your application requires, simply provide the changes and we can have new samples out the same day. Rapid prototyping significantly reduces the time it takes to create a mold or other part, allowing for quicker iterations and faster product development cycles. This speed is particularly helpful for meeting tight deadlines or quickly responding to market changes.
