New Video! Robot Inserter Makes Production Rate with 50% Lower Head CountThis Viper fastening robot assembly machine performs clip installation using the VIM-700 Insertion Spindle. Visumatic developed the assembly platform for an application requiring clip placement on a wide automotive tailgate fascia that had a no-mar finish on the nested side. The operator loads the part fixture and initiates the cycle using opto-touch start signal. Built for improved ergonomics, the machine goes through the motions for the operator, clamping the part and carrying the fixture back into the work envelope. The SCARA robot has an 800mm reach to accommodate all points across the part. The VIM-700 Insertion Spindle is flange mounted to the robot theta axis, rotating the tooling to match clip tower orientation when required.
This engineered clip insertion gear empowers our customer''s cobot to get automation done.
The Visumatic VCM-3X.2 cobot fastener feed and drive end effector package adds advanced capability to collaborative workspace projects.
This complete fastening system for your collaborative robot includes an automatic feeder, programmable drive system, skeleton robot program, and end effector for direct mounting to the robot wrist.
Add the VCM-3X.2 with pre-programmed fault recovery to your cobot assembly process and production will flow.

#1 selling Power Driver configured for nut driving with our exclusive X-Thread Eliminator" for the best insurance against cross threading. Machine builders appreciate the simple integration of our Nut Power Driver Systems. The nosepiece is designed with our patented "X-Thread Eliminator" which virtually eliminates cross-threading, your biggest concern in nut driving applications. You will immediately see the difference in our highly accurate, extremely durable design in a compact envelope.
Each system is complete with:
- The reliable Visumatic feeder
- Head module with single or multiple spindles
- With or without z-axis
- An array of sensor packages for SPC data collection
Visumatic's VPM Power Module is designed for incorporation into a Robotic or Linear presentation system to bit--stroke screws into part. A Power Module fits when you need the fastener bit-stroked into the part without moving the nosepiece, dependent on the machine for motion. You present the part to the nosepiece, or mount the head on your positioner to achieve the desired Z-axis positioning of the nosepiece to the driving location.
The VPM's Quick Change Bit:
There's more efficiency that comes with the VPM than reliably driving fasteners. The design and build features of our systems are efficient to maintain, adding to low cost of ownership. The tilt-away nosepieces allow for nearly instantaneous bit changes. One turn of a bladed screwdriver and the bit and bit extension pull right out the back. Operators can change this bit in less than 60 seconds!
Delivered complete with:
• Custom feed system
• Bit stroking spindle system
• "Plug-n-Work" Manifold and I/O port
Visumatic automated assembly systems can be designed to feed and drive even the largest parts. Visumatic's VPD 4.2 Stand Alone Assembly Systems supply straight forward function and outstanding performance, and are designed for your manufacturing requirements. They can drive multiple and varying types of fasteners, with variable torque and drive planes. All Visumatic Power Driver Systems are efficient, durable and accurate.
System components include:
• Visumatic VPD Power Drivers: - Standard Duty, Light Duty, or Heavy Duty
• Automatic screwfeeding system
• Simple to advanced controls package
• Basic fixturing on a tooling plate
Visumatic develops complete, "plug -n-work" X-Y robots with Visumatic VPM-X.2 Power Modules - single stations designed to automate your assembly line. Your part is simply presented to the nosepieces and screws are stroked into the part.
The system shown, designed and built by Visumatic, uses two 2,000mm x 1,800mm X-Y robots that work in concert with each other to install 36 screws into a plastic cabinet with extremely tight clearances. The system, once initially loaded, works non-stop. Once cassettes are loaded; both robots begin assembling one part, then the other while ejecting the completed part. The operator unloads the completed part and reloads. By the time the reloaded part is in place, the robot completes the second part, moves back over and the process is repeated. Each robot is capable of assembling either side independently.
Visumatic's VPD 4.2 Stand Alone Turn Key Assembly Systems supply straight forward function and outstanding performance. They can drive multiple and varying types of fasteners, with variable torque and drive planes. All Visumatic Power Driver Systems are efficient, durable and accurate.
System components include:

Visumatic's VPA Ergonomic Power Assist Arm with Screwfeeder takes the screwdrivers weight and torque reaction off your operators, to speed production an protect your work force. We understand operator challenges and ergonomic demands. With the torque/balance Power Assist Arm, Visumatic accomplishes a tremendous ergonomic and efficiency advantage, supporting the tool and eliminating torque reaction. A great value in the long run and can be designed for small to extremely large applications.
This system improves ergonomics, reduces elbow stress & possibility of carpal tunnel syndrome:
• Reduce torque reaction
• Operators hand is closer to the work plane
• Monitors, and releases the drive-down force at pre-determined torque value
• Protect operators by applying the drive-down force during the assembly
