Pyromaitre In-line Oven
Service Detail from Coiling Technologies, Inc.
CTI has made another acquisition of a Pyromaitre in-line oven to strengthen our small spring production capacity. The P106 has the capability to process 740 lbs (340 kg) per hour at 700°F (370°C). This is critical when processing high-tensile CrSi alloy wire, which requires immediate stress relief following the coiling operation. This ensures minimal risk of material fracture after coiling, especially for tight-index springs such as clutch springs.
Pyromaitre ovens are ideal when seeking cycle-time reduction. Their energy efficiency ensures that parts achieve optimal stress relief in significantly less time. For example, when processing CrSi in a standard batch oven, it takes approximately one hour to properly stress-relieve the material; however, in a Pyro oven the cycle time decreases to 6–10 minutes depending on wire diameter. Utilizing the Pyrograph software ensures that all material being processed reaches the required temperature in an optimal timeframe, resulting reducing cycle times.
Using Pyro ovens also supports our compliance with CQI-9 requirements and ensures our quality assurance program is in alignment with automotive industry standards.
