The CentriFlow^® Type II Meter, manufactured by Eastern Instruments, is a solid-particle mass flow meter used for measuring bulk solids continuously in a process. The Type II Meter works well for feed systems that allow product to move in a vertical direction, such as screw conveyors, rotary valves and slide gates. The enclosure is great for containing dusty products and for minimizing contamination to the product while in process.

How It Works

The Type II Meter is configured to fit inside of an enclosure, making it ideal for products that need to be contained. Inside the enclosure, a diverter plate directs product from the intake flange at the top of the meter towards the Measurement Pan. Product moves through the meter and is finally discharged below.

• Accuracy: ±0.25% accuracy full scale on virtually all flowable solids
• Flexibility: Accuracy is unaffected by fluctuations in elasticity, density, shape or friction
• Configurations: Allows product stream to continue flowing in the vertical direction or be turned 90^o from the horizontal direction
• Optimization: Customizable flow surfaces and flow enhancement devices allow for system optimization
