Working Principle

Power rectifiers operate by utilizing diodes, which are electronic components that allow current to flow in only one direction. In a single-diode rectifier, the negative portion of the AC waveform is omitted, resulting in a pulsating DC output. Multi-diode rectifiers, such as bridge rectifiers, reverse the negative portion of the AC waveform, merging it with the positive part to produce a continuous positive current. Advantages over other Power Rectifiers
