MiniVisc 3000 - Portable Kinematic Viscometer The MiniVisc 3000 series (formerly the SpectroVisc Q3000 Series) viscometers are the first truly portable, solvent-free, temperature-controlled kinematic viscometers, providing high-accuracy measurements for easy detection of viscosity variations caused by contamination, mix-up and oil degradation. The devices were designed to determine kinematic viscosity at 40C in the field for applications where immediate results are essential for determining the health of critical equipment. Principle... Ask the Experts: Measuring Oil Viscosity There are several ways to monitor viscosity including Kinematic Viscometers (u-tubes) per ASTM D445, Ametek Spectro Scientific 's MiniVisc 3000 per ASTM D8092, Visgages, Rheometers and Rotational Viscometers. Typically, ASTM D445 methods are run in a laboratory setting due to the glass capillary tubes and large constant temperature baths which are difficult to maintain in the field. Spectro 's MiniVisc 3000 is able to quickly perform kinematic viscosity with only a few drops of oil... (read more)Browse Oil Sensors and Analyzers Datasheets for AMETEK Spectro Scientific -

BARTEC
Viscosity Process Analyzer VISC-4 To remain competitive, today 's refiners must employ all optimization and product control techniques available. The use of online physical property analyzers is one of the key features to reach those objectives because they measure important quality properties in the process directly. All fluids that fulfil the conditions of Newton 's friction law are referred to as Newtonian fluids. Their viscosity is a material constant, which is only dependent on pressure and temperature. The viscosity for... (read more)Browse Oil Sensors and Analyzers Datasheets for BARTEC -
