Techno Security's Guide to Managing Risks for IT Managers, Auditors, and Investigators

This book has been in the making for about 15 years. There are many ways to convey valuable information, but in my opinion, there is no better way than the printed word. It simply doesn t go away once the ink dries. That s a good thing. Many of the authors of this book have been asked to express their opinions in every way conceivable. They are the world s experts, and their opinions and suggestions can help save companies from a lot of headaches and even embarrassments.
I have personally been interviewed about a dozen times on television news broadcasts. The interview would typically take about 30 to 60 minutes. The footage of the interview that actually was transmitted over the airways was about 10 seconds. Did any of you see or remember any of these interviews? Most likely not, and there is no practical way to go back and see even the 10 seconds of information presented by an industry expert (their opinion) should you want to. It s just gone. Fortunately, the written word is here to stay. You can go back and reread any part of a book at your leisure.
This book is meant to be a reference full of lessons learned, war stories, and suggestions, all of which will help you improve your professional and personal Techno Security posture.
