Chapter 2: Matching Conditions for Transient Inputs

Table 2.1: Changes in peak output due to changes in the parameters M, D of the possible set for the outputs v 1, v 2, , v 5 of the wind turbine system. The first three columns show the percentage reductions in peak output produced by 25% reductions in the bounds M, D (individually and together). The fourth column shows the relative importance of the bounds M and D judged by dividing the results in the first column by those in the second. Values greater than one indicate that M is more important and values less than one indicate that D is more important. Peak output was calculated to a tolerance of 0.01% using the algorithm of Section 2.3.2. The percentages are shown rounded to one decimal place. Importance is rounded to two decimal places.
Table 2.2: Estimated changes in peak output due to non-vanishing changes in the parameters M, D of the possible set calculated using sensitivity theory. The first three columns show the estimated percentage reductions in peak output produced by 25% reductions in the bounds M, D (individually and together). The fourth column shows the estimated relative importance of the bounds M and D judged by dividing the results in the first column by those in the second. Change in peak output was estimated using a linear approximation based on...
