Tool Palettes were designed to be customized in fact, they're begging for it. Although you probably know that you can drag just about anything onto a tool palette and have it automatically appear as a tool, this topic covers some of the Tool Palette's finer points so you can create the right tool for every job.
The primary means for organizing tool palettes is often overlooked. Palettes should be logically grouped into collections for ease of use. So many palettes and palette groups ship with AutoCAD that it's hard enough to find what you're looking for as it is.
Access palette groups by right-clicking the Tool Palettes menu at the extreme bottom edge of its title bar. All the existing palette groups appear below the bottom separator bar. Choose Customize Palettes from this menu, or use the CUSTOMIZE command to open the dialog box of the same name.
