Achieving Objectives Through Time Management, Fifth Edition

So far in this workbook we have stressed the importance of being able to manage your time, and that of your team members, more effectively. Of course, you may feel that much of what's been said is fine in principle, but be perhaps a bit sceptical as to whether it makes much difference in practice.
In this session, we look first at how you might carry out a time management exercise in practice in your area of work, first for yourself, and then for members of your team.
However, as we're all too well aware, plans in the abstract don't always work out in the real world, and it's important to be flexible in your thinking in the event that something unforeseen crops up - as it certainly will sooner or later. The session continues by looking at the different sorts of unforeseen contingencies that can arise, and how you might best approach these.
We then return to an issue raised earlier in this workbook that of conflicting priorities and how these might be handled. Finally, we look at reviewing how we use our time.
First of all use the management grid discussed in Session C to improve the organization of your own work.
