Writing Fast Programs: A Practical Guide for Scientists and Engineers

This appendix contains a brief list of several modern programming tools. These tools generally fit the theme of the book overall in regard to high performance programming and/or code optimization. This list is not intended to be exhaustive; the absence of a tool from this list does not imply anything about the quality or relevance of the tool. Further, the author has not personally tried all the tools on this list, so of course no warranty is given as to the usefulness, stability or value of these tools.
