Metal forming and fabricating machines are machine tools used to fabricate parts by the shaping, rolling and molding of metal.
Brazing equipment joins two or more materials with a molten braze filler, which typically does not fuse with the base materials. Brazing is useful in joining dissimilar materials such as metals and ceramics or metallurgically incompatible alloys.
Forging machines (hot forming) use compressive force and a high workpiece temperature to shape metal by plastic deformation. A type of hot forming, hot forging involves the plastic deformation of a metal at a temperature and strain rate where recrystallization and deformation occur simultaneously. This prevents strain hardening, which can reduce ductility and contribute to brittle failure and structural fatigue.
Oxy-fuel cutting and welding equipment melt an areas with an arc and then use a high-velocity, high-temperature, ionized gas to make cuts.
Plasma cutting machines use a high-velocity, high-temperature ionized gas to make cuts in materials and parts.
Plasma welding equipment melt areas with an arc and then use a high-velocity, high-temperature ionized gas to make welds.
Press brakes are metal forming machines used to bend and fold sheet and plate metal by pressing it between tooling referred to as a punch and a die.
Shearing machines (sheet metal) use a shearing or scissor-like action to cut metal into sheets or strips.
Tube and Pipe Bending Machines are used to bend or coil metal pipe or tubing to a desired radius.
Ultrasonic welding and cutting machines melt areas with an arc and then use a high-velocity, high-temperature ionized gas to make cuts.
