The Tritan combines features of three of McElroy''s most innovative machines: the rugged portability of the TracStar® iSeries, pipe loading capabilities of the Talon™ 2000, and the ability to meet the pipe where it lays, found in the Acrobat™ QuikFit® carriages. With a full 360-degree rotation and a boom that can raise, extend, and curl the carriage to approach and load pipe, the Tritan boosts jobsite efficiency and improves workplace safety by eliminating the need to top-load pipe into the fusion machine.

McElroy began operations in 1954 as a two-person start-up in an Oklahoma garage. In the 1960s, McElroy became a forerunner in the Fintube Machinery market, with a strong presence continuing today. In 1969, McElroy designed its first Polyethylene Fusion Machine. That line has now expanded to the industry''s most complete line of fusion equipment, used with a variety of thermoplastic pipe, from HDPE and Fusible PVC™ to Polypropylene-Random
For 70 years, McElroy has established itself as a company driven by a desire to improve the world through better infrastructure. Watch this video to see the latest and greatest developments from the world''s leading designer of plastic pipe fusion equipment and accessories.
The TracStar iSeries brings a new level of performance and reliability to the pipe fusion industry. A new family of fusion machines builds on the TracStar''s historically rugged, self-contained tracked vehicle while adding industry-changing technology for an improved user experience across these three new models. Numerous improvements have advanced the level of technology available while simultaneously hardening that technology to make the entire fusion experience more reliable. The TracStar iSeries features new emission-compliant engines, a CAN bus control system, along with many hydraulic, mechanical and electrical upgrades. Integrated, software-controlled machine options from manual to fully automatic improves operator consistency and adherence to standards.
Increasing investments in infrastructure development are exerting a positive effect on the growth of the HDPE pipe market. HDPE is emerging as the preferred choice for critical applications like transportation networks, water supply systems, and urban development initiatives. Learn how these large-diameter projects are faring in this presentation from ISCO''s Mike James and Pipeline Plastics'' Stephen Boros at INFUSION23.

The self-contained turbo diesel engine and rugged dual rubber tracks allow the machine to be driven directly to the fusion site. With its 6-motion boom arm that provides 30º of curl, 65" of vertical travel, and 12" of lateral extension, plus a carriage that swings a full 360º, the Tritan is prepared to meet the pipe where it lays on the job site. A revolutionary combination of features allows Tritan operators to load pipe into the carriage without the aid of extra pipe-handling equipment. The Tritan utilizes a unique bottom-loading carriage which eliminates the need to lift pipe overhead and into the machine. Taking operator safety a step further, the Tritan uses wireless controls that allow a single operator to manipulate the pipe, load the carriage, and fuse with added visibility and machine control.

The need for better record keeping and increased accountability is growing among those who build and manage pipeline infrastructures. New standards, including ASTM F3124, have been implemented to govern the collection of data from plastic pipe fusions. The new DataLogger® from McElroy meets these requirements by capturing the most important information related to fusion operations. It is now easier than ever before to add improved traceability and a higher level of assurance that pipelines were fused properly before they go into service.
