Renishaw offers a comprehensive range of precision engineered styli and stylus accessories for use on our CMM, machine tool, scanning probes and equator gauging systems. Successful gauging depends very much on the ability of the probe''s stylus to access a feature and then maintain accuracy at the point of contact. At Renishaw, we have expertise in probe and stylus design to develop a comprehensive range of CMM and machine tool styli to offer you the greatest possible precision.
Innovation isn't just something we talk about, it's in everything we do. It's how we help the world's manufacturers, scientists and healthcare professionals forge new paths.
To uphold student skill levels to current manufacturing industry standards, many trade schools in the USA have aligned their training with certification from the National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS).
Read the case study here Equator™ gauging system reduces inspection time of NIMS metalworking training parts by 85% (renishaw.com).
SupaTouch - an optimization routine within Renishaw''s industry standard Inspection Plus macro software - intelligently optimizes on machine probing cycles, leading to a cycle time reduction of up to 60% on CNC machine tools. Learn more here SupaTouch technology (renishaw.com)
The Equator™ 500 is Renishaw's shop-floor gauging system. The new larger Equator 500 system has a working volume of 500 mm in diameter and up to 400 mm in height, is accurate between 5 ºC and 50 ºC at any rate of temperature change, and is capable of scanning speeds over 200 mm/s. The Equator 500 system options include integrated IPC software which allows constant monitoring and automatic adjustment of a machining operation, keeping part dimensions close to nominal and well within process control limits. Paul Maxted, Director of Industrial Metrology Applications, demonstrates how Renishaw technology can be applied throughout the manufacturing process of a complex aerospace part.
Renishaw solutions help aerospace manufacturers do repeatable, traceable and efficient work to the finest tolerances, so that every component meets its design intent throughout a supply chain. We offer solutions throughout the industry in many application areas and we have particular expertise in controlling the manufacture of blades and components for engines.
Equator-X™ 500 gauge: two systems in one
The new Equator-X dual-method gauging system brings unique capability to the shop floor with its dual measurement functionality; Absolute and Compare. Users can select the optimum inspection mode for their process challenge, effectively deploying two systems in one.
Renishaw''s expert engineers introduce the technology behind the new ATOM DX™ digital encoder.
The ATOM DX encoder builds on Renishaw''s ATOM™ miniature encoder series, first launched in 2014, and incorporates advanced interpolation technology originally developed for the VIONiC™ and QUANTiC™ digital encoder families. The combination of miniature size, digital quadrature output direct from the readhead and Renishaw''s market proven filtering optics create a powerful foundation for the building blocks of a motion system.
ATOM DX encoders have CE approval and are backed by Renishaw''s dedicated global sales and support network. The encoder is also available with the optional ADTi-100 Advanced Diagnostic Tool and ADT View software to give in-depth diagnostics, such as remote monitoring, visual and audio indication of signal size, DRO output, Lissajous output and the ability to save data in multiple common file formats.

Reduce inspection inaccuracy, save time and increase throughput using Renishaw metrology fixturing for vision systems.
Renishaw has developed a range of fixtures designed for vision inspection processes. Translucent acrylic base plates enable the use of backlighting, providing a clear view of the workpiece on the vision system. Our QuickLoad™ corner technology locates the plate quickly and easily, allowing for fast and repeatable part set-up.
Once workpieces have been clamped in place, our adjustable slide mirrors allow features to be inspected without the need to re-fixture.
To help you create the perfect fixture set-up when using Renishaw''s fixturing components, we have created the ''Metrology fixturing: Focus on vision applications'' video.
