The C303 is a single-pole, bi-directional DC and AC contactor engineered for demanding high-power applications. Designed to handle up to 1500 V and continuous currents up to 500 A, the C303 delivers reliable performance for fast-charging infrastructure, energy storage systems, and industrial DC applications.
Featuring newly developed main contacts with ultra-low contact resistance of just 100 micro-ohms, the C303 significantly reduces power losses and contact heating-resulting in up to 25% energy cost savings and less cooling effort over continuous operation.
Safety and reliability are at the core of the C303''s design. Its permanent magnetic arc blow-out enables safe arc extinguishing without gas encapsulation, eliminating explosion risks and compensating overpressure. The innovative core of the new CT series is the electric arc control technology: in contrast to contactor concepts purely based on electromagnetic blowout, the arcs created at the moment of switching off are ignited in powerful permanent-magnetic blowout fields.
Thus the dwell periods in the contact zones are limited to an absolute minimum. This leads to a significant reduction in arc-related burn-up when switching off. The lower degree of wear on the contacts makes it possible to greatly increase maintenance intervals.

Energy transition requires ideas and a pioneering spirit. With this in mind, Schaltbau has built the NExT Factory from scratch. The factory will be almost completely supplied by a direct current network.To achieve this, we connect the PV system with 1,300 kW peak directly to the energy storage systems and consumers.
