MPD’s narrow profile battery retainer enables an extremely lightweight, low profile and cost-efficient power management solution. Elimination of the plastic carrier reduces profile by allowing the battery to rest directly on the PCB surface, where dual beam contacts create two distinct points of contact with one of the battery’s two terminals. They deliver a redundant electrical connection that is unlikely to be broken, even if the battery shifts position due to shock or vibration.
