Custom Solids Feeders
Featured Product from Sterling Systems & Controls
Sterling Systems & Controls offers CUSTOMIZED micro material weighing and feeding systems to weigh materials that require accurately measured ingredients that are critical to the batch integrity. These systems then "feed" the material into the next phase of the process using any one of a number of methods.
These custom batching and feeding systems can be manual, semi-automatic, or fully automated. Each batching and feeding system is customized to the specific application needs of the customer. No two feeding systems are the same. Within the solution of the micro/minor/bulk systems we offer supply bins, feeders, automatic bin refilling, work platforms, bag handling equipment, dust collection, vibratory or screw feeding technologies, and batched material conveying equipment (pneumatic and mechanical).
We offer a variety of customized feeding devices that are chosen based upon the best solution for the application through product feasibility studies. Feeder selection considerations include the industry, such as food, agricultural or other industrial, as well as the demands of the application. We offer a Standard or Heavy Duty for general industrial applications, and an Agricultural design feeder for those applications. Selection is typically driven by the products bulk density and environment of the application. Standard feeder designs range from 2 to 6 inches. Size selection is depending upon accuracy and rate requirements.
Scaling devices such as hoppers, platforms, conveyors/scales are used in a variety of designs. When considering the scaling device many application factors are reviewed such as scale resolution, accuracy, batch rate and room constraints. A customized solution is put together based on the accuracy, ingredient weighments required and batch throughput rate.
Systems are modular in design allowing for expansion. Many customers will automate the most frequently used material with the highest volumes, then add to the system over time. Systems typically range from 6 to 48 storage/supply bins, with an average of 24 micro bins.
We strive to provide efficient batching, weighing and feeding systems for various industrial applications in the food, baking, agricultural, and other industries.
