Valve Motion
   Valve Motion:
   Your choices are...
Rotary Motion Valve       Rotary motion valves (rotary valves) such as ball, plug and butterfly valves that rotate through a quarter-turn (90 degrees) or more from open to close.  This includes multiturn valves.
Linear Motion Valve       Linear motion valves (linear valves) such as gate, globe, diaphragm, pinch, and angle-style valves have a sliding stem design that pushes the closure element open or closed. The valve stem may rise while rotating (multi-turn) or may rise without rotating.

General Specifications
Control Signal Input:      Throttling valves regulate the flow, pressure or temperature of the service. They can move to any position within the stroke of the valve and hold that position, including full on or full off. The addition of an actuator to a throttling valve, which has the ability to adjust to a signal, is called a control valve. An actuator used in throttling or modulating service is part of the control loop consisting of a sensing device, controller and an actuator mounted on a valve. The actuator receives a control input signal from the controller or positioner and adjusts closure element position accordingly.
   Your choices are...
Milliampere Control Signal       The input control signal to the actuator is a milliampere signal.
Voltage Control Signal       The input control signal to the actuator is a voltage signal.
Pressure Control Signal       The input control signal to the actuator is a pressure signal.
Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Actuation Time:       The time required to fully close the linear motion valve.
Search Logic:      All matching products will have a value less than or equal to the specified value.

Actuator Specifications
   Hydraulic Actuator Type:
   Your choices are...
Diaphragm Actuator       Used mainly on linear motion valves but also suitable for rotary motion valves when used with some kind of linear to rotary motion linkage.
Piston Cylinder Actuator       Used on both linear and rotary motion valves. Must be coupled with some kind of linear to rotary motion linkage when used with rotary motion valves.
Rack and Pinion Actuator       Used to transfer the linear motion of piston cylinder actuators to rotary motion. Rack and pinion is ideal for automating manually operated valves.
Vane Actuator       Used with rotary motion valves.
Scotch Yoke Actuator       Used to transfer linear motion to rotary motion.
Lever and Link Actuator       A splined or slotted lever attached to the valve shaft to transfer the linear motion of diaphragm or piston cylinder actuators to rotary motion.
Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
   Acting Type:
   Your choices are...
Single Acting       Fluid pressure actuates valve in one direction, while a compressed spring actuates the valve in the other.
Double Acting       Fluid pressure actuates valve in both directions.
Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Hydraulic Fluid Supply Pressure Range:       The input pressure necessary to achieve desired torque or thrust output.
Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.

Features
   NEMA Enclosure:
   Your choices are...
Type 4       Constructed for indoor or outdoor use. Provides a degree of protection against contact with enclosed equipment, falling dirt, rain, sleet, snow and windblown dust, splashing water and hose-directed water. Undamaged by external formation of ice on enclosure.
Type 4X       Enclosures constructed for either indoor or outdoor use to provide a degree of protection to personnel against incidental contact with the enclosed equipment; to provide a degree of protection against falling dirt, rain, sleet, snow, windblown dust, splashing water, hose-directed water, and corrosion; and that will be undamaged by the external formation of ice on the enclosure.
Type 7       Constructed for indoor use in hazardous locations classified as Class I, Division 1, Groups A, B, C or D as defined by NFPA70.
Type 9       Enclosures constructed for indoor use in hazardous locations classified as Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F, or G as defined in NFPA (National Fire Protection Agency) 70.

   Actuator Action:
   Your choices are...
Direct Acting       For manual actuators, clockwise rotation of the actuator causes clockwise rotation of the valve to close. For other types of actuators, increasing control input signal extends the valve stem.
Reverse Acting       For manual actuators, clockwise rotation of the actuator causes counterclockwise rotation of the valve to close. For other valve types, increasing control signal input retracts the valve stem.
Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Overtorque Protection Options?       The actuator uses a torque sensor to "switch off" electric motor when safe torque level is exceeded.
