Why does it have to be a 120 VAC motor? Now that we are moving into the solar cell/fuel cell era, we lose 10% to 20% of the raw energy in the inverter- transformer conversion from DC to AC. If the output is used directly as say 24 to 48 volts DC, look at the energy we save.
