Overview of Vulcanized O-Rings Overview of Vulcanized O-Rings. Generally speaking, vulcanized O-rings provide an ideal selection for static sealing. This is especially true in applications unsuitable for molded O-rings, such as those with oversized or non-standard measurements. Vulcanized O-rings are also viable when only a few pieces are needed, or when a customer needs an O-ring as quickly as possible and cannot wait the standard lead time for molded production. When selecting a vulcanized O-ring for your next job... (read more)Browse O-rings Datasheets for Arizona Sealing Devices, Inc. -

How to Measure an O-Ring Selecting the appropriate O-ring size is crucial for forming effective and reliable seals in both static and dynamic applications. If the dimensions are incorrect, leaks can occur, the sealing system may fail prematurely, or it may be too difficult to install the O-ring. To mitigate these risks, engineers and maintenance professionals rely on sizing charts that specify standard measurements. This makes it easier to verify that the specified size is ordered and installed during manufacturing... (read more)Browse O-rings Datasheets for Arizona Sealing Devices, Inc. -

What Are O-Rings? O-rings offer superior sealing capabilities compared to traditional gaskets. Their versatility and cost-effectiveness make them an ideal choice for applications ranging from fuel lines to oil seals on engines. They can also be manufactured with different materials, making them one of the most widely used components across multiple industries today. O-rings aren 't always round; they may come in squares, X-shapes, and more, depending on their intended use. Moreover, multiple fabrication methods... Radial O-Ring Feedthroughs Radial O-ring feedthroughs provide an efficient and adaptable method for creating hermetic seals around electrical wires and cables as they pass through a housing. The design utilizes one or more O-rings seated in grooves along the outer diameter of the feedthrough housing. When installed, the O-rings are compressed between the housing and the mating interface, forming a tight seal that prevents the escape or ingress of gases and liquids. One of the primary advantages of radial O-ring designs... (read more)Browse Electrical Feedthroughs Datasheets for Douglas Electrical Components -

Benefits of Aflas® O-Rings Aflas is another elastomer that offers a combination of chemical, thermal, and electrical resistance properties, resisting acids, bases, and heat up to 446 F. Like nitrile, it is popular in oil, aerospace, and general industrial environments. However, Aflas should not be used in direct contact with automotive fuels because it swells more than comparable elastomers. learn more here (read more)Browse O-rings Datasheets for Arizona Sealing Devices, Inc.
