Jaonathan and Jason walked back to Jonathan's office together after the team members had left the finance conference room. As they seated themselves in Jonathan's office, the CFO folded his arms a sign of concern and said, "I didn't realize that Cathy had such strong feelings on capital project evaluations. She has never indicated or maybe I wasn't listening if she ever did express her frustration with this aspect of her job. Frankly, I had expected that this was going to be a mind blower to Cathy, in that I thought she might oppose elevating the level of analysis, because of her closeness to Jack and her past inclination of following, almost blindly, Jack's positions and directions. I figured that Dave would welcome anything that entailed less work, but I was surprised at the level of understanding that I thought was implied in his comments. Once you cut through his style, Dave seems to be more insightful on the subject than I have given him credit for. I knew that Jill would have no real input, since she has not had any exposure to this area of finance, and that Frank would comprehend everything. Earl was totally predictable in his soapbox dialogues. Jack's negativeness reflected in his continuous scowling was a bit more than I had expected, and bothers me, because I had thought he would be more open-minded based on his comment at our last team meeting".
