GOALS

The goals of this activity are

  • to identify individual customer service strengths

  • to brainstorm the benefits of delivering fantastic service

  • to review individual benefits

  • to review company benefits.

    PowerPoint slides: Benefits! (slide 11), Satisfying the Customer (slide 12)

  • Handout

    Handout 13-2: Benefits (optional).

TIME

  • 5 15 minutes

INSTRUCTIONS

Option 1

Show the Benefits! slide. Discuss the benefits of delivering exceptional service. Do this as a brainstorming session. Participants should come up with personal as well as organizational benefits. Then show the Satisfying the Customer slide to summarize and to reinforce what the group has discussed.

Option 2

Show the Benefits! slide. Distribute Handout 13-2: Benefits and give participants five minutes to fill it out. Have them discuss their answers in pairs for five minutes. Bring the group together to summarize pair discussions. Show the Satisfying the Customer slide to summarize and to reinforce what the group has discussed.
